Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate Food Additive SAPP
Synonyms: Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate
Molecular formula: Na2H2P2O7
Molecular weight: 221.95
CAS No.: 7758-16-9
EINECS No.: 231-835-0
H.S CODE: 28353990
Character
White powder or white particle, with relative density of 1.86, is soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol. When heated with dilute inorganic acid, the aqueous solution is hydrolyzed into phosphoric acid with hygroscopicity. After absorbing water, six crystalline hydrates are formed, which decompose to sodium metaphosphate when heated above 220 ℃.
Purpose
It can be used as leavening agent, baking food, controlling fermentation speed, instant noodles, shortening the rehydration time of finished products, not sticky or rotten; used for biscuits and cakes, shortening the fermentation time, reducing the damage rate of products, loose and neat voids, which can extend the storage period.
Packaging and storage
25Kg, 50Kg,1000kg in braided bag lined with plastic. Store it in ventilated, dry and clean place. Moisture proof.
